Divadelní revue
is a peer-reviewed theatrological journal open to interdisciplinary approaches and perspectives from related humanities disciplines. It is published twice a year by the Arts and Theatre Institute, editorially prepared and the Czech Theatre Studies Department guarantees the professional level. The journal was founded in 1989, and since 2012 it has been included in the international SCOPUS database, starting in 2024 it is published in Open Access mode.
It brings methodologically grounded contributions that represent diverse approaches to interpreting theatre and performativity, including overlaps with anthropology, sociology, philosophy, aesthetics, linguistics and art history. In addition to scholarly studies by local and international scholars, it includes material and archival contributions, essays, interviews, reviews, and reports on current events in the field.
